Farmville and other Facebook Games

Is there any point to these games?
sure Farmville is a cheery game with happy music and cartoon graphics, but why is it so depressing?
first of all i pay to use an tool (which my character already owns), to plow a field then put some seeds into it and wait for them to grow...
a 3 year old could come up with that idea!
what makes it so addictive?
are social networking sites so bad that we have to be distracted by these terrible games?
farmville also has things that you can buy... which you purchase with imaginary money or spend your real money on. but these are mainly to distract you from the fact that you are wasting hours of your life infront of a computer gaining nothing from it.
is all that worth the gruelling effort of logging in everyday to make sure your crops havent died yet?

Dividing By Zero?

I have worked out how to divide by zero...
although its technically impossible, it can still be done?
if you have 10 and divide by 1, its like one person taking all 10 items.
if you have 10 and divide by 2, it is 2 people each taking 5 of the items.
to divide by zero that means that the items are not changing hands and so the items are still there but are not going anywhere...
